Become a Foster Carer

Discover the profound fulfillment of providing a safe and loving temporary home for a dog in need. Fostering is a unique opportunity to make a direct and positive impact on a rescue dog's life, helping them heal, grow in confidence, and take the next step toward finding their forever home.

It's more than just offering a sofa or comfortable bed it's about giving hope and a second chance. As a foster carer, you'll provide the care, stability, and love that these dogs desperately need, helping them transition from rescue to their perfect family.

We understand that taking in a foster dog is a big commitment, which is why we provide everything your foster dog needs. Your role is simply to offer them a safe and loving environment.

If you’re ready to make a difference, we’d love to hear from you!

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR IN A FOSTER CARER

As a foster carer you would look after the dog as if it was your own, giving it time, attention, ongoing training, and preparing for your foster dog to go to its forever home. We would are also ask you to provide regular updates and photos of the foster dog in your care for the website, and of course exercising your foster dog every day as required. You will need a secure attached garden, own your own home or have the landlord's permission to have a dog. If you work, we would need to know how long the dog would be left alone. Then we would ask you about what you think you could manage, ie. size of dog, ability to exercise, etc.

Then we would come and do a home check, give further advice and information about anything you want to know, and again make sure that you take on the correct type of dog, e.g. child friendly if you have children. Once all that's done we allocate you a dog to foster. We would provide the dog's food, flea and worming treatment, and pay for any vet bills. We keep in regular contact so that you always have someone to contact for advice or help.

We also need foster carers to allow prospective adopters to visit your home to meet the dog, giving them information about the dog's likes and dislikes and habits (good and bad), and letting us know what they think about the people who have come to visit the dog E.g. did you think the visit went well? Did you feel the people were suitable for the dog? Did you think the dog felt comfortable with them, etc. That sort of thing.

If you feel that this is for you then please fill out our short form, and we shall get back to you as soon as we can.

Please bare with us, everyone helping is volunteering,

Thank you.
